From my other blog: Remembering grandson Ben’s diagnosis one year ago today and looking ahead to follow-up tests in June…
It has been a year since we began our family’s journey through pediatric neurosurgery. Grandson Ben is doing great, but plans are being made for another trip to New York City for follow-up testing and whatever else may come.
In the past couple of days, Ben’s mom and dad have done Facebook postings expressing their concern for Ben and asking for continued prayer. Here’s what they posted:
From Ben’s mom:
“Today is very sobering day for me. A year ago today we made the fateful visit to the pediatrician that launched us on Ben’s journey with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) resulting in a Dural AV fistula. 5 hospital stays, many tests, and 2 brain surgeries hundreds of miles away from home over a 2 month timespan was humbling, exhausting, and terrifying all in one. Now we are one year out and planning our return visit to NYC for a one year…
