Finally Blooming In My Corner of North Georgia: Flame Azaleas

Over a week ago the wild azaleas, known as flame azaleas, began blooming in other areas of our county.  However, the ones in the woods behind our house and just outside the kitchen window only opened up a couple of days ago.  I don’t know what took ours so long, but I’m glad they finally bloomed.  They’re beautiful!

    1. Many thanks! The ones in the woods are much more orange than the blooms in these photos.

“Wild azaleas”–was not aware such things existed. I’ll have to ask my beloved. Peace, John
