Our yearly visitors, who usually arrive at different times, have arrived at the same time this season and have settled in for an extended stay. The Indigo Buntings and the Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks winter to the south of us and migrate to the north of us in the spring, stopping here to rest and spend time at our bird feeder. No doubt they soon will be on their separate ways.
Unfortunately, they have been difficult to capture in photographs, as both the Buntings and the Grosbeaks are extremely skittish this year. But I have enjoyed watching them outside my kitchen window.
Beautiful captures! The Indigo Buntings is gorgeous. 🙂

Thank you! They are beautiful birds. We have only a few Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks but many Indigo Buntings.
