Isak Dinesen

Isak Dinesen was the pen name of Danish author Baroness Karen von Blixen-Finecke (1885-1962) who wrote in Danish, French, and English.  She is best known for Out of Africa, an account of her life in Kenya, and for the short story Babette’s Feast.  Both works were made into Academy Award-winning motion pictures.
