A little Fall color

We’re in a severe drought, and many of the trees that normally have beautiful leaves in the Fall are rather dull this year.  Others are just turning brown, and the leaves are dropping.

But here’s a little brilliant color…  (click on each photo to see in a larger format)

I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since my last post, probably the longest time I have gone without posting since I began blogging several years ago.  I’ve not been well and hope to be better and back to posting more regularly and reading the blogs I follow soon.

  1. That color is way better than ours! We just have everything turning brown and dropping, and we have not had a drought this year to blame it on.

I hope you get back to full strength soon!

    1. Thank you! I am getting better, especially since we discovered that several of my problems are due to reactions to a prescribed medication. Sorry about your lack of fall color. I remember in past years when folks here blamed no color on drought and years when they blamed it on too much rain. Who knows?

Hello again, long time no see! Wondeful photos 🙂 Fall is my favorite season, always nice to see the colors before everything becomes cold and barren haha.

And PS, yeah the drought where you are has been very bad indeed. I’ll have to write about it in my blog sometime. Crazy how dry its been.

    1. Hello! Thank you. Fall is my favorite season, too. But we surely do need rain. Allergies are terrible here this year. Would love to read your take on the drought!

Sure! I did a couple of posts already on both the winter seasonal outlook nationally and a mention of the drought in the interior South. Based on the current climate signals, it looks like the winter will be supporter for further maintenance and expansion of the drought in the South. Not a great outlook unfortunately!

      1. Oh heck, I’m allergic to penicillin that I discovered, after taking a full course, in A&E after my body completely went on melt down!
