What I Found on My Walk Down the Road: Grape Hyacinth

Many people plant hyacinths in their gardens, but this was growing where it had never been planted.  It’s interesting how I frequently find along our road, plants that have never been there before and that never appear there again.  One-hit wonders.

“Here hyacinths of heavenly blue, shook their rich tresses to the morn.” (James Montgomery)

    1. It is a lovely color. We had these in our garden at one time, but they haven’t bloomed in several years.
