Blooming now and draping the trees in its lavender-colored flowers, wisteria is everywhere in my corner of Northeast Georgia…

In lanes and hanging over the fences of house in Savannah, GA, you can smell the fragrance and see the beauty of purple flowers hanging by vines. Breathtaking against the green on tress!

I bet it’s absolutely beautiful in Savannah! The quote about wisteria that I used in this post was from the book “Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt” by Beth Hoffman. Most of the book was set in the Savannah area.

Wisteria grows around here too, but I guess I have never been up close to it! I love your close-ups showing how the flowers hang in drifts.

We don’t have any on our property, and most of it is in the trees alongside the highway. This year, however, it is in the neighbors’ trees and hangs down quite low so that I was able to get close-up photos.

Thank you. They are everywhere here this year. The close-up photos were of blooms on vines that appeared this year in our neighbor’s tree.

The Wisteria is so beautiful this year. It is everywhere, in trees, bushes and even along the ground. I love it.

It’s amazing to me how none of it bloomed last year, and this year, yes it is everywhere!

I’m in New Jersey and would love to see wisteria everywhere. Now and then I will see some that has naturalized, but would love to see even more.

Last year we had no wisteria blooming anywhere. This year it is everywhere! Thank you for your comment!
