Lately I’ve had trouble trying to photograph the moon. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong because in the past many of my photographs have turned out really well.

The March 21 “Super Worm Equinox Moon” was hidden behind the trees, and I no longer have it in me to stay up past midnight until the moon rises higher in the sky.  And as I’ve noted before, we live in the woods, and I don’t like having my back to the woods at night.  So I take the photographs quickly, and this is all I was able to get…

A few days later in the very early morning, I tried again to capture the moon, this time a half-moon that could be seen from the front porch…
