Under the weather

For about three weeks now I’ve been feeling rather bad. Sinus congestion, earaches, headaches, dizziness, feeling sick. The doctor said it was probably severe allergies and advised that I take over-the-counter medications.

I got better, and then it all returned. Then I tried every natural remedy I could think of, but after the room began spinning when I got out of bed last Tuesday, I made another trip to the doctor. An antibiotic and a steroid nasal spray are now making the difference, and I am getting well.

However, the antibiotic causes me to feel lightheaded, and when I walk I wobble like someone who has had too much to drink. I am determined to finish this course of antibiotic so that this sinus infection doesn’t return. So no going anywhere for me! I don’t want people to think I’ve been drinking!

I’ll get back to posting and to reading and commenting on blogs soon.

Deb, it’s maybe because of the weather? Get well soon.

    1. I’ve thought about that. The pollen count here has been outrageous, and with all the rain, everything is musty. All of the houses have mildew and mold on the outside.

    1. Thank you! I am getting better. The worst part has been the dizziness.

    1. Thank you so much! If it’s not one thing, it’s another. I also have developed allergies to some of the household products that I’ve not had a problem with before.

Hi, Debby, I am sorry you are not feeling well. Springtime and allergies go hand in hand. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Hope the summer is not too hot. Hang in there!

    1. Thank you! This has been a weird summer. Lots and lots of rain and a pollen count that has been off the charts. It was in the 90s for a week and then dropped back into the 70s. This past week in the 80s. I’ll be thinking of you in the upcoming week. Hope your operation goes well! Love you!

  7. I’m sorry you’ve been ill. If I remember right you’re not too far from my neck of the woods in Georgia. The weather has been far too crazy and the on and off storms have caused my own sinuses to act like a barometer and not in a good way. I’ve been popping Excedrin and allergy meds like candy to survive. Hopefully those antibiotics will get you back in order.

    1. Thank you very much. Yes, I am in White County, and you are so right about the weather. I’ve wondered what part it has played in all of this. Everything is absolutely sodden, and it even smells musty outside. Not to mention the high pollen count. I hope you feel better, too!
