On the Hunt for Joy: Week 1 – Get Outside

Every day now I greet the morning by going outside to have my second cup of coffee on the front porch. I often look at the treetops, and the other day I photographed the tops of several trees I can see from the porch…

Sweet Gum

Crape Myrtle

Leyland Cypress

Red Maple

River Birch

I like the idea of “hunt for joy” being a daily challenge. And your 2nd cup of coffee on the porch seems an excellent way to position one’s self to find joy. Thanks for both ideas..

    1. You’re welcome! Although it is cold out there on the porch this time of year!

    1. Thank you! This morning it was in the 30s outside when I went onto the porch, so I didn’t linger long.

Find in joy in quiet moments, like coffee outside sounds like a wonderful idea. Thank you. Stunning photos, too.

    1. Thank you so much! I am the caregiver for my husband who has suffered from 3 strokes and is now an invalid. I don’t get out much and must find joy in the quiet, ordinary things of life.
