Snowball Bush

Although it looks somewhat like a hydrangea, the snowball bush is a viburnum. The blooms start out green and then turn white. Our snowball bush was full of blooms this year, and our sweet neighbor girl asked if she could cut some for her mom. Of course I was glad for her to do so.

    1. It won’t be long before she comes over and asks if she may cut some of my roses. One of my rose bushes is covered in blooms. I’m glad for her to do that!

The first time I saw and photographed these (some time ago), I called them snowballs. I didn’t know that was actually the name of the bush. I did think they were hydrangeas though. Thanks. I learned two new things today already and it’s just about 7:30 a.m. 🙂

    1. A friend planted this bush in our yard for us, and when he told us it was a snowball bush, I thought he was kidding! It actually is a viburnum, but the name really is Snowball Bush Viburnum. 🙂
