A tiny flower with a strange name, Pipsissewa is an herb that has been used in folk medicine to treat a number of conditions ranging from infections, to anxiety, and even cancer. It can be used externally to treat sores and blisters, and its extracts are used as flavoring in foods and beverages. Pipsissewa grows wild behind our house.
