“I’ll be a hummingbird…”

“We’re constantly being bombarded by problems that we face and sometimes we can get completely overwhelmed. [But] we should always feel like a hummingbird. I may feel insignificant, but I don’t want to be like the other animals watching the planet go down the drain. I’ll be a hummingbird, I’ll do the best I can.” (Wangari Maathai)

Those look like the hummingbirds that come around my place. I have Rose of Sharon tree that attracts them.

    1. Thank you, Bruce. Did you google Wangari? She died in 2011.

      1. No I actually didn’t …but I know of her important work in reforestation and her work against impoverishment… I had thought she had died, but couldn’t remember… of course she is still with us in spirit and her legacy. One of many amazing leaders of our world who achieved so much…. in the likes of john Lewis.
