October rose

Blooming today, the last day of October, one solitary rose.

I drove to my father’s mountain cabin today to check on the aftermath of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Zeta and was surprised by this single rose in bloom by the old fence.

“There is simply the rose; it is perfect in every moment of its existence.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

    1. Thank you, Joye! Unfortunately, a large tree fell onto Dad’s property and badly damaged a bridge across the creek and just missed the cabin.
