Looking on the bright side

“I resolved that, like the sun, as long as my day lasted, I would look on the bright side of everything.” (Thomas Hood)

Once again, I’ve been away from blogging for quite a while. Since the beginning of March my 92-year-old father has gone into cardiac arrest twice, has been hospitalized twice, and now is under in-home hospice care with a large blood clot in both lungs.

Even so, he is in good spirits, talks “a blue streak” as we say here in the American South (talks all the time), and is so grateful for the experiences he has had in his life and for all who care for him. He has a kind, loving heart, a sweet spirit, and he always looks on the bright side.

We are blessed.

I am glad you are able to be with your father on this leg of his incarnated journey. May it be as peaceful and healing as possible for all concerned.

    1. Thank you. So many people have not been able to be with their loved ones, and I’m very glad our situation is such that I can be with him.
