In the dead of winter…

Once again this year my Flowering Quince bushes are blooming in the dead of winter. The buds and blooms have survived many nights of below freezing temperatures. We have what may prove to be a severe winter storm coming this weekend. I hope the Quince survive the ice and snow that are predicted to be on the way.

My quince never blooms. I had no idea that it was a winter blooming shrub.

    1. It’s only been during the past few years that it’s started blooming in the winter. Before that, it always bloomed in the spring. I think it’s confused. LOL

  3. My roses bloomed before the last snow we had. I’m hoping they survive the winter because we have ice coming tonight too. 😅🤣

    1. So many things now bloom at unusual times. I hope your roses made it through the ice.
