Southern Magnolia

Seeing this particular Southern Magnolia tree bloom for the last time… It is in front of the house my sister and I inherited, the house in which we grew up. But the house has now sold. We will close the sale next Thursday, and I heard the new owners say they plan to widen the driveway leading up to the house, which will necessitate removing this Magnolia that has been there all of my life. Time marches on…

    1. Yes. Selling a house that has been in the family for over 70 years is difficult enough. There are two large Southern Magnolias in front, and I spent half of my childhood climbing them!

      1. Maybe cuttings taken from both would thrive wherever you want them to, if two or more prayed for it. (I’d gladly be one of those two or more!)
