Wildflowers in a mountain meadow (???)

Not really. Just the white violets in my front lawn before it was mowed today, the first mowing of the season. “When the time is ripe for certain things, these things appear in different places in the manner of violets coming to light in the early spring.” (Farkas Bolyai)

Before the mowing

Sweet little violets, both purple and white, fill our front lawn. They’re lovely, but unfortunately they will be gone when we have the lawn mowed this week. “Blue eyes shimmer with angel glances. Like spring violets over the lea.” (Constance Woolson)
